Melissa Rondeau, Wanderess Bleu, is the creator of The Travelers Code, a series of powerful life transforming insights from traveling around the world as a solo female traveler.
Like many teenagers Melissa struggled with emotional wellness. She started partying with friends and witnessed how this empty lifestyle negatively impacted her life and relationships. Her life felt empty and lacked meaning.
At the age of 18, she traveled to Italy with her mother to visit family and explore ancient ruins. Standing in the Colosseum, visiting Pompeii and browsing magnificent works of art – became experiences that led to a radically different perspective and desire to create a life with meaning.
Upon returning home Melissa stumbled upon a Medicine woman that invited her into an apprenticeship to begin a spiritual journey understanding the mind and body connection and to learn ancient wisdom Shamans used to help people heal and recover from traumatic life experiences. Melissa decided to pursue formal college education in counseling, she graduated with a Masters Degree and became state licensed in 2003. Melissa worked as a private psychotherapist helping many clients successfully change thinking patterns but felt that traditional counseling was limited because it didn’t incorporate the mind and body connection or teachings similar to spiritual teacher Marianne Williamson in her book “A Return to Love.”
Years later, Melissa married and had a family, which led to a career change. Over the course of 12 years working in corporate America, Melissa, experienced a deep disconnection from her life purpose, authentic self and speaking her truth. This led to a divorce and loss of family unit resulting in a journey of recovery and healing to transcend trauma from the experience. Melissa struggled with grief, letting go, forgiveness, changing beliefs and rediscovering self love and confidence.
Melissa traded in a briefcase for a backpack and became a Wanderess, a woman who searches the world for meaning. Her journey included solo female adventures and trips with her children to places like India and Morocco. Melissa intended to explore, discover and experience ancient wisdom around the world that humans use to transcend life struggles for joyful living.
In 2016, Melissa began writing and sharing her powerful insights in major indie magazines like Elephant Journal, Thought Catalog and Instagram. This led to a growing social media following of over 10,000 people world wide and a desire for Melissa to provide support, guidance and empowerment to others.
Melissa’s transformational insights help others to choose a path of mindful living with a desire to stop old patterns and create healthy relationships with self and others.
